World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
Please join us on Wednesday, June 15 at 1:00 p.m. in the Capitol Rotunda for the commonwealth’s recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Pennsylvania's Secretary of Aging Teresa Osborne will be joined by Lieutenant Governor Mike Stack, Deputy Secretary of Banking and Securities Brian LaForme, state legislators, and protective services workers from across the commonwealth to raise awareness of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation.
Elder abuse is a global societal issue which impacts the health and human rights of millions of older adults around the world. This is the one day in the year when communities throughout the globe pause to promote a better understanding of elder abuse.
